Join us for an insightful conversation with author Wendy Pearlman as she discusses her book titled, The Home I Worked To Make: Voices From the New Syrian Diaspora.

The Syrian war has displaced millions, from their homes. It also forced them to rethink the meaning of home itself. Across this tapestry of voices of displaced Syrians now on five continents, Pearlman's book captures their journey through revolution, war, displacement, and self-discovery. As anti-immigrant rhetoric intensifies around the world these gripping stories challenge readers to grapple with the hard-won wisdom of those who survive war and to see, with fresh eyes, what home means in their own lives.
