Dartmouth professor argues that Egypt should temporarily take over Gaza

The Dartmouth sat down with Ezzedine Fishere to discuss his recent article in The Washington Post, where he argued that the Egyptian government should temporarily take over Gaza.

On July 30, Dartmouth professor and distinguished fellow Ezzedine Fishere published an opinion piece in The Washington Post titled "This country should take over Gaza — for now." In the article, Fishere argues that Egypt should become a temporary steward of Gaza to dismantle militant threats to Israel and to establish a path towards a Palestinian state.

Following the article's publication, The Dartmouth sat down with Fishere, to discuss his article, the criticisms it received, and the future of the Middle East.
