In remembrance of Juneteenth, join us for a thought-provoking conversation on the profound influence and legacy shaped by the friendship and alliance between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel.
Spotlighting 2024 Pulitzer Prize-winning author of King: A Life, Jonathan Eig, and renowned Jewish and Biblical scholar, Professor Susannah Heschel, who is also the daughter of Rabbi Heschel, the conversation will be moderated by Pastor Chris Harris, Sr., Senior Pastor of Bright Star C.O.G.I.C. and St. James C.O.G.I.C., and will explore the nuances of racial and religious identity, build upon the historical struggle to create solidarity across communities, and the importance of collective action in the move to create a more fair and just world.
